Structures
Because not two surfaces look the same
The structure or the look of the Conteco surface depends on the chosen tool for application. Below you will find some examples of what tools contribute to different structures.
Steel trowel
A steel trowel will contribute to a more “flaming” look with greater difference in the color nuances, as the steel will enhance the friction on the surface. A steel trowel is therefore used when maximum color play is desired.
Plastic trowel
A plastic trowel will contribute to a more uniform finish, due to the softer material of the tool, which creates less friction on the surface compared to the steel trowel.
Painting brush
When Conteco is applied with a painting brush the strokes from the brush will create the nuances of the surface. This type of surface will naturally become more rough, but can be sanded if necessary.
Concrete Sealer Mat vs. Shine – what is the difference?
Most Conteco surfaces are treated with Concrete Sealer as a finishing layer to protect the surface and make it water-repellant.
The picture illustrates the two variants: Mat (left), which create a natural concrete look, and shine (right), which gives a more polished concrete look.
Both variants are equally hard-wearing and easy-to-clean.
