Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, mobile phone or other device when you visit a website.

Necessary cookies are used to ensure that the website and its core functionality operate correctly. If you give your consent, we also use cookies for functional purposes, statistics and marketing.

Cookies may, among other things, be used to remember your choices and preferences, support the functionality of the website, analyse how the website is used, improve the user experience and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before your consent was withdrawn.

If you reject certain cookies, some features or parts of the website may function with limitations. This may, for example, apply to external content such as maps and videos.

An up-to-date overview of the individual cookies, their providers, purposes and storage periods is available in the Cookie Declaration, which can be accessed through the website’s cookie settings.

Third-Party Services on the Website

Depending on your consent and the pages you visit, the website may use services provided by, among others, Google, Meta, Pinterest, YouTube and Vimeo.

Google services may include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Maps, Google reCAPTCHA and advertising-related services. Google Maps is used to display maps and locations on the website.

Videos from YouTube and Vimeo are only loaded on pages where videos are displayed, for example on the instruction videos page.

We use Cookiebot to manage cookies and record your consent preferences. The website may also use Cloudflare for security, performance and technical operation.

Personal Data

Personal data is any information that can be directly or indirectly linked to you as an individual.

We may process personal data when you visit the website, complete the contact form, contact us by email or telephone, use the product calculator, complete or attempt to complete a purchase, or otherwise use our services.

Information Collected When Visiting the Website

When you visit the website, technical information about your device and your use of the website may be processed depending on your cookie preferences. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate geographical area, the time of your visit, and information about which pages and features you use.

The purpose is to ensure the operation and security of the website and, where you have given your consent, to compile statistics, improve the website and measure or target marketing activities.

Contact Form, Email and Telephone

When you contact us, we may process the information that you provide. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, company name and the content of your enquiry.

The information is used to respond to your enquiry, provide advice and customer service, and follow up on any enquiries.

Information submitted through the contact form is generally stored for up to 30 days unless the enquiry results in a purchase, an agreement or an ongoing customer relationship, or the information must otherwise be retained for a longer period.

Product Calculator

When you use the product calculator, information about your selections and calculations may be processed. If you also provide your contact details or proceed with a purchase, this information will be processed in order to provide the calculation, handle your enquiry or complete your order.

Purchases and Orders

When you complete a purchase, we process the information necessary to manage your order, receive payment, deliver the goods, provide customer service and handle any returns or claims.

The information may include your name, address, delivery address, telephone number, email address, order details, purchase history, and information about your chosen payment and delivery method.

Information relating to orders cancelled before payment is generally retained for up to 30 days, among other things to provide support and follow up on technical issues relating to the order.

Payment

Payments made through the website are processed via QuickPay and the relevant payment providers.

Conteco A/S does not receive your full payment card details. Card and payment information is entered and processed through the payment solution for the purpose of authorising and completing the payment.

Purpose of the Processing

We process personal data in order to operate and secure the website, respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, process purchases and payments, deliver goods, provide customer service, handle returns and claims, comply with applicable legislation, and improve our website and marketing activities.

Legal Basis

Where processing is necessary to complete a purchase, deliver goods or fulfil another agreement with you, the processing is carried out as part of the performance of that agreement.

Where we retain information to comply with, for example, accounting legislation, the processing is carried out in order to fulfil a legal obligation.

Certain information may be processed on the basis of Conteco A/S’ legitimate interests, including responding to enquiries, providing customer service, documenting communications, and protecting and improving the company’s services.

Statistics and marketing cookies, as well as other non-essential cookies, are used on the basis of your consent.

Disclosure of Information and Data Processors

We use suppliers and business partners who process information on our behalf or receive information where necessary to provide the requested service.

In connection with deliveries, relevant information may be shared with carriers such as DSV, DHL, BWS and PostNord.

In connection with our webshop, order processing, payments and accounting, we use, among others, WooCommerce, QuickPay and E-conomic.

For communication, customer service, reviews, website operation, analytics and marketing, we may use, among others, Outlook, Trustpilot, Google, Meta, Pinterest, Cookiebot, Cloudflare, YouTube and Vimeo.

Each supplier receives only the information that is relevant to the task they perform. Some suppliers act as data processors on behalf of Conteco A/S, while others may act as independent data controllers for their own processing activities.

We do not sell your personal data.

Transfers to Countries Outside the EU and EEA

Some of our technical suppliers and business partners may process personal data in countries outside the EU and EEA. Where personal data is transferred to such countries, the transfer takes place on the basis of a valid transfer mechanism and with the necessary safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for as long as we are required to do so under applicable legislation.

Accounting records and information necessary to document purchases and payments are generally retained for five years from the end of the financial year to which the information relates.

Other information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required. The retention period therefore depends on the nature of the information, the purpose of the processing and any applicable legal requirements.

The retention period for individual cookies is set out in the Cookie Declaration.

Security

We process your personal data confidentially and have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect it against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure, misuse or unauthorised access.

Access to personal data is restricted to employees and business partners who have a work-related need for the information. This may include relevant employees within management, accounting and the warehouse.

Conteco A/S does not intend to collect sensitive personal data through the website. You should therefore refrain from sending sensitive or confidential information unless this is necessary and has been agreed with us.

Your Rights

Under data protection legislation, you have a number of rights. Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access the personal data we process about you, have inaccurate information corrected, have information erased, restrict the processing of your personal data, object to the processing, and receive certain information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

If the processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Consent for cookies can be changed or withdrawn through the website’s cookie settings.

Certain information cannot be erased immediately if Conteco A/S is required to retain it under applicable legislation or if the information is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

If you wish to exercise your rights or have any questions about our processing of personal data, you are welcome to contact us at info@conteco.dk.

Complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency

If you are dissatisfied with the way we process your personal data, you may lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency. You can find contact details and guidance on the Danish Data Protection Agency’s website.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy and Cookie Policy if there are changes to the way we process personal data, the functionality of the website, the suppliers we use or the applicable legislation.
