Conteco Fine is a part of the Conteco-system that enables you to create an urban concrete look in your home.
Conteco Fine can be applied alone in 2-3 layers, or as the foundation in a built-up system with Conteco Basic and/or Conteco Medium. When used in wet room, the whole system must be used for optimal strength. It is recommended to apply Conteco Fine on top of Conteco Basic for a smoother, but durable surface. Conteco Fine must be mixed with Conteco Mix & Primer and Conteco Color Pigment before use.
The total thickness of 2-3 layers amounts to approx. 1.5 mm.
Mixture ratio: 2:1 Conteco Fine / Conteco Mix & Primer.
Drying time pr. layer: 30-60 minutes, room temperature (21 °C, normal humidity).
Application temperature: Minimum 15°C.
Time of use after mixture (at 21°C): 1½ hour (can be prolonged by continuous stirring).
How to apply:
Before you start, please make sure that the chosen surface is clean and even. If used on tiles, we recommend spackling and priming the entire surface before applying Conteco. As Conteco is applied in thin layers, joints and unevenness will show on the finished surface if not evened out before application.
Apply the first layer with your choice tool in a thickness of approx. 0,5 mm. For a blazing look with a lot of texture, a steel trowel is used. For a smoother/more even look, use a plastic trowel. Please note that the amount of water used on the surface during the application process will affect the texture and play of colors in the surface as well.
To obtain a smoother surface, it is possible to grind the surface with sandpaper grain 120/150 between layers.
Before applying next layer, moisten the surface using a water atomizer to ensure optimal adherence. Additional layers are applied until the desired look is obtained.
When dry, treat the surface with Conteco Color Sustainer in a thin layer, using a microfiber cloth. When used on floors, in bathrooms or on table tops, we recommend applying Conteco Concrete Sealer as a finishing treatment, after the Color Sustainer is dry.
